Compressor – The Heart of the System The refrigerant gas (low-pressure, low-temperature) is sucked into the compressor. The compressor squeezes the gas, making it high-pressure and high-temperature. This hot gas is now ready to deliver heat. 3. Heat Transfer to Water (Condenser) The hot refrigerant gas flows through the condenser (water heat exchanger). Here, the heat is transferred to water for floor heating, radiators, or domestic hot water. The refrigerant cools down and turns into a liquid. 4. Expansion Valve – Cooling Down Again The liquid refrigerant passes through the expansion valve, where its pressure and temperature drop. It becomes a cold liquid–gas mixture. 5. Cycle Repeats This cold refrigerant goes back to the evaporator to absorb more heat from the outside air.
